YOUR TEACHER
The Autonomous Body Method is developed by Aleksi Koskelin, the founder of La Vida Surf Retreats.
He graduated as a TCM therapist from the Taoist Neijing Institute, and as a professional dancer from the Danish National School of Performing Arts. At the moment Aleksi is doing a MSs degree within Psychology.

The Autonomous Body Method is a solidarity project where each particle supports the whole and thus maintains the form - this is the law of Biotensegrity.
In order for the form to maintain strong, each particle must also function autonomously.
Each particle’s individual responsibility is to maintain physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health. This effort will be supported by the community.
Therefore, you are not alone, but you need to learn how to become autonomous; physically, mentally & spiritually!

We love and live for the outdoors
Do you remember what it feels like to stand on the top of a mountain after a long hike, or just walk on the shore after a successful surf session.
On our retreats, it is all about these moments and feelings.
Nature does not only give us strong emotions it plays an actual role in how our mind, brain and body forms itself.
Nature can be both frightening and empowering. Therefore, most of our retreat-activities takes place in open spaces or in nature itself.
Learn to adapt to its “will” and you will cultivate health and happiness. Surfing, climbing, hiking, and even our workouts are often made outdoors.
